Revitalize Boones Creek

“Revitalize”

To give new life to; to give new vitality or vigor to.

•Did you know that 17 SBC churches close their doors each week due to the lack of ministry and vitality?

•Did you know that up to 90% of churches are plateaued or declining?

Did you know in the past 15 years that membership, baptisms, and Sunday School attendance have dropped by at least 22%?

The need for a local VITAL presence of the Lord Jesus is great.  Will you be apart of the next movement?  Will you be apart of Revitalize Boones Creek?

Church Revitalization is a 1000 day process of renewal and refocus of the church to meet a new vision.  Consider these steps below as a general guideline for Revitalization.

Step 1 – Decide

The church must decide to revitalize.  They must come to the agreement that a new direction needs to take place and to pursue the steps to initiate this move.

The church should decide to select a team for the new journey, revitalization team.

The church should seek to partner with local, regional and national agencies to accomplish this task.

Step 2 – Discover

The revitalization team (RT) the church approves will discover key things about the current situation of the church regarding attendance, financials, physical space, demographics, staff needs, and more

The RT will discover the situation in their own community such as location of new schools, demographics in proximity to the church, centers of engagement in the community, opportunity for ministry in the community.

The RT will also use this time to discover the ways that the Lord is moving in other churches and ministries.

The RT will keep the church informed periodically to the progress and to some of the discovery information.

Step 3 – Develop

Along the journey in the Discovery phase the RT will be developing plans for implementing strategies to accomplish the goals

The RT will lead the church in a 14 week process of development and discussion through preached messages and “town hall” meetings.

Step 4 – Deliver

Report back & recommend to the church the future plan of actions to the church

Review feedback on recommendations

Step 5 – Deploy

The church adopts and celebrates the new plans of action

Implementation of new vision

Continual monitoring of vision
